GVRDC

I'm up in western NY officiating as a TD at the GVRDC horse trials. This is a very well run event...hopefully the rain holds off for today...didn't quite make it yesterday.

Next week is Seneca horse trials. Indy and Running Order are both moving up to intermediate. 4 others going training: Simon (his first), Wacker, Charm and Frolic.

Working Student Position

We are looking for a full time working student. It is a very exciting
opportunity, we're traveling nearly 40k miles a year, competing nearly
every weekend from Florida to Mass/NY. We're looking for someone with a
solid riding background, who has worked with young horses and preferably
competition horses as well. Competition experience is a plus. Must be
organized and willing to do anything from mucking to managing feed and
farrier schedules to riding. Applicants must be ambitious and eager to
learn.

Day #4

All of the horses were very good today. Courage did the level 5's again and was very good. Very ridable...he's ready for the 6's.

Maggie jumped well, 1 down in the j/o but still finished 5th in the level 4's.

Spanky was also good, 1 down again a bit tired...but jumping very well in the 4's.

This week has been very helpful, not only for the horse but defiantly for me. Not that I wasn't confident in the ring before, but I'm feeling a lot more comfortable. I would reccomend doing something like this to anyone...

Spanky jumped very well today finishing 8th in the level 3's and 4th in the level 4's. We had a change of plans, initially we were to return to NJ today, but Sinead has some personal obligations tomorrow. So that gives Courage, Spanky, Maggie and Geoffrey one more day of Jumping. Stay tuned...

Day #2

Courage was very good...3rd or so in the level 4's and 8th in the level 5's. Spanky did very well well also, can't quite remember what place. Maggie jumped well and came away with an 8th in the 4's. It'll be a light day tomorrow...but check back for updates.
